 According to the internet, intimacy is defined as a cozy and private or relaxed atmosphere or defined as a sexual encounter between two individuals. 

Intimacy is something that we experience on a daily basis, with family and friends mostly. The world might have painted another picture of intimacy to you but it's true essence was meant to be only pure and real. 

As human being, it is in our nature to crave for intimacy, in this I believe.

Intimacy looks like rawness,truth,safety,corrections, amongst a few others.

 Intimacy means leaving a conversation with a piece of you left with the other person,it means saying nothing and just staring into each others eyes and getting healed from unspoken trauma.

Intimacy is that person that feels like home to you but you accepting that you might not mean the same to them.

Intimacy is being told that they don't want to lose you, saying that they want to make things right and try again. Romantically or in a  platonic sense.

It also looks like long walks, talks and silences together and after those moments you still feel relieved from the day's stress.

Intimacy is when people around you healing you , each time that you meet up and they are not even aware of it.

Intimacy was never meant to just have one name to it, one face on it because family and friends also see you in different phases and that is the beauty of it,that that one person alone does not have ownership to it.
